I need to come up with another password. All my login accounts for work have this 60 day rule about changing your password. You are not allowed to use any repeat characters from your last 5 passwords; such as master to monster, the arrangement of the letters is a repeat sequence so no go.
Over the years I have used anagrams for Disney movies and characters, Harry Potter places and names and Lemony Snicket. I've gone to JD Robb characters and Diana Gabaldon characters. I've even taken my kids crazy passwords.
I am currently at a loss this morning to come up with another password for an account that alerted me to change my password within the next 5 days.
Wait...I may have come up with something...how about the obscure saints names and years of canonization?? Hey, I think I may have something!! Hurray for Saint Irenaeus, not just for prayers anymore.
A small blog about our family living in the big city. We manage to keep ourselves busy with school and church. Throw in the occasional event and we are non-stop.

Hot and Itchy
I am so tired of having first the upper respiratory infection, then the yeast but most especially the eczema. Every morning I am slicking up like a greased pig in an attempt to soothe my skin and delay the onset of the itching. My knees are on fire today and I just keep slathering on the lotions. I would love to take some benadryl but being alert is a priority when giving new chemotherapy. My legs look like a porcupine since I can't shave when the eczema is flaring up. And my skin tone is pale white with pink to red splotches scattered across the expanse of skin.
I have always wondered why eczema occurs and mine started with the PUPPP (puritic urticaria papules and plaques of pregnancy). Supposedly, PUPPP is when a woman is having a boy and the DNA crosses the placental barrier and gathers in to the plaques and papules with an allergic type response causing itching and inflammation. I can buy into that but I had the kid 13 years ago. Enough already!!

The Annoying Things That Annoy Me
First off, I hope you read Mother's post below. (Yes, I said Mother)
OK. Annoying Things That Annoy Me.
1) Wimbledon. I have nothing against tennis, really I don't. But now that Wimbledon is on, it's all we'll be watching for.... well, until it ends. Yippee. Oh! And Aunt Mary? If you get a chance to go, go and then tell me how much it is so I can pass it along to Dad and he can put it in his jar of "To-Do"s. (Haha! Mom! Maybe that's what he needs!! Haha!!! Darn! Shoulda done it for Father's Day!)
2) Thinking I know what a word means and than finding out it means something totally different. I usually assume what a word means with the help of context clues, but sometimes I guess wrong.
3) Loki's new habit. I guess about a week ago, my dearest white cat started trying to dig the water bowl out of the little holder thingy. I have no idea what he thinks he'll find by doing this. This morning was the last straw. Mother(yes, there it is again!) came in to kiss me goodbye(awww!!!............. Not!) and she goes, "What happened?" I turned to see what was wrong only to find that there was water all over!!!! So I got up to clean it and decided it's time again to just use a bottle to refill it. Stupid cat.
4) Sitting in this house doing basically nothing. Now that it's summer, I will probably be found at home reading my brains out or typing on my computer. This is how last summer went and the summer before that. Now that Dad is a teacher and is home for the summer, we sit around the house. Every morning, he's on the treadmill making enough sweat to wring it out over the sink like a disgusting towel(sorry for that image) and then he sits in front of the TV, drooling. Especially now that Wimbledon is on. I feel like I never get anything done. I feel cooped up and I do just about anything to get out of the house. I just hope this doesn't last. Probably will, though.
5) Dad's ideas for getting out of the house. I know I have to give him credit for trying and at least he has plans, but they're such LAME places to go!!! C'mon!!! I'm 15!!! The Zoo? Yes, I love animals, and yes, I want to be a vet, but HOW MUCH CAN THE ZOO CHANGE IN ONE YEAR!?!!!?? Not much. Oh boy! A new baby elephant!!! Woop de doo! NASA? We've done everything and both times we went, all they had was Star Wars. I'll admit, they're cool, but not that cool. I'm not that big of a nerd, thanks. The thing with Dad is if it's cheap, we'll try it. Ugh!
6) Someone telling me I'm not doing anything about #5. Liar!!! I have lots of things I want to do and I've voiced my opinions several times. As much as it doesn't agree with Padre's fingers, I want to go bowling. Even though my skates don't fit and Colt will have to use rentals, I want to go ice skating. I want to go to the Museum with all the art in it(shut up! I can't remember what it's called! They all sound the same!). I want to hang out with Ashley. I want to spend more time with Madre. I want to get out of this thing we call a home. I'll go swimming a couple times and maybe play tennis, but I don't want to be stuck inside. The only good thing about being at home all summer is I can work on my pale.
7) The fact that we're out of Mountain Dew.
That's all. Now time for thoughts. I'll try to keep it short this time.
I don't know if it's me(in fact, I know it's not me), but Mother's(again!) idea that a man is sexy when he has hair is totally gross. We saw Adam at the grocery store and I pointed him out to her(THIS IS FOR THE RECORD!!! I DIDN'T GET A GOOD LOOK AT HIM THE FIRST TIME!!!!) and she goes, "He's Asian?". Didn't notice that before. And then, as we were leaving and passing him. "Eww! He's hairless!!". Mother(again!), please. I actually like guys better if they're not monkeys. I've been there when you told me some actors are hot. First off, THEY'RE OLD!!!! Second on(good for you if you caught that), THEY LOOK LIKE APES!!!! I understand a little fuzz, but not full our ruggedness down into they're shirts!!! Yuck!!!
I've come to learn that I like cats better than dogs. TAKE THAT DAD!!!! Dogs are extremely loyal and loving and all that good stuff. But cats are soft and they purr and they're funny and when they talk it's not always deafening. And yes, they stink more, but at least I don't have to scale the whole backyard to clean it up.
I just finished the last Pepsi in the whole house. Sniff sniff. Now all we have is Root Beer and Ginger Ale. Yuckers.
I love the songs that have titles that aren't ever mentioned in the song. Panic at the Disco does that a lot. So does Fall Out Boy. Seether has a few. I especially love Burrito by Seether. It's so random and I have no idea how a burrito relates to what they're singing about.
Oh! I tried to read Ivanhoe. Epic fail. If he keeps going the way he does in chapter one and the beginning of chapter two, that book will be more description than story! So I gave up. I tried Alas, Babylon, but no such luck. I really hit it off with The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, though. So far, I really like it.
bing.com is a lie!!! A horrible, horrible lie!!!
All I have to do for my hours this year is fill out the paper work and get someone to sign it and go to adoration for another four hours. Shouldn't be hard. Ugh! But I hate the stupid questions! I'm thinking I should voice my opinions, but oh, well.
uhhhh...... all done!!! Hope you're happy with the shortness!!!
Love you guys!!!

Service Hours for God
Amy and Colt have been doing Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the church this week and they are working with preschoolers. Amy has an actual class and Colt has been working games. They are at the church from 8:30 am to 1:00 Monday thru Friday. Today is the last day. I know that Amy and Colt have both enjoyed the time they have spent with the little kids, especially William and Matthew. William is still trying to master potty-training and needs a bit of assistance in the restroom from Colt. Monday William whispered 'firefly' and then yesterday it was 'pee-pee'. The whisper is so loud everyone hears it. Colt just smiles when he talks about William. I think he is looking forward to seeing these little kids at church.
All in all, they both got about 20 service hours to go towards their service hours for confirmation total of 100 hours. Yes, with all that Amy does she is killing the hours and is now exceeding that 100 hours. But I feel confident that she can use some of this for her high school requirements and getting into college even if it is for God.
Amy has had fun but is looking forward to not having to get up at 7am during her summer.
Hopefully, they will be able to do some swimming and tennis when VBS is done. It is just so dog-gone hot outside that outdoor activities are not feasible. Needless to say, we need rain. Hope everyone has a quiet wet weekend.

Movie quote for June 25th
Get off my lawn!
Saw it and loved it. Reminded me of old people growing up on Michigan and Archie Bunker. The language was a bit more profane than I remember, but other than that pretty accurate.
Let me add a clue for you all:
"Don't call me Wally."

Fair Skies and Sunny Days
Okay, we have officially moved into hell. It is hot and humid with very little chance of rain in the forecast. There is no relief as it is so humid that sweating doesn't cool you off.
What greenery there was, is all fading to a dry brown. The good news is that maybe fireworks will be banned through the area and my dogs won't be freaking out on the fourth of July. And I have air conditioning and a job to pay for that A/C.
Amy and Colt had their first day of VBS. And they both are tickled by this kid named Matthew. Matthew got a firefly token yesterday and snuck up to Colt at the last of the day yesterday and whispered LOUDLY into his ear ""FIREFLY"". It had to be cute since both Amy and Colt were grinning telling the story. I dropped them off a bit early today and they were going to get 30 minutes of Adoration before the sessions started for today. Amy has her Rosary. I'm looking forward to their stories tonight.

Star Wars anyone??
This has some pictures in it for Luke and any other Star Wars fans out there. If you can go the Space Center Houston during the summer to see the actual exhibit. It is extensive.

We missed the Storm Troopers this time but the first picture is from January. Can you believe they are wearing the same shirts??
We also visited with an old friend of mine - John Knolle and his wife Darlene. John knows everyone. Really!! It is amazing to talk to him.

We went to Baybrook mall and the boys and Amy got to help build a pirate.
This is the small version.

Here it is halfway built.

And here is my three waiting to turn in their bricks.

A busy weekend.
Father's Day was nice. We took Vernon's dad out to Pappas Seafood and left just stuffed, with food to bring home. Today we took Vernon to Golden Corral - Again we were stuffed. Good for me, no cooking!!
Unfortunately, our water cooler sprang a leak we could not locate to fix so we had to buy another one. I think they do it on purpose to make it irreparable so you have to buy a new one.
This next week Amy and Colt will be doing Vacation Bible School all week and they are really looking forward to it. My cold/sinus infection is finally breaking up with the ever powerful Biaxin. The worst part is the nasty taste it gives when you are on it.
Happy Father's Day to all.

Thinking....
I'm bored out of my mind, so I'd figure I'd just write my random thoughts.
First off, I want to talk about Colt. He always complains about how the guys at school call him gay. Well, let's take a look-see at the possible reasons. He listens to Micheal Buble *subconsciously adds the accent over the e*, Thriving Ivory, The Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional(or he wants to at least). Gee..... I don't know ANY guys that listen to any of those people with the same passion as Colt does. It also might be that he's short and he hasn't hit puberty with enough force yet. Although, he can't help that. I'm seriously hoping he either man's up and gets the same attitude that most of my friends have: I don't care what you think. Or that he physically man's up. (Sorry if the punctuation on that isn't right.)
Padre Luna accepted the job, but says he isn't resigning until he signs a contract, which makes sense to me. I feel a little bad for the management of Goodson, though, because they'll have to go out and hire a new math teacher or open up a job for a long-term sub suddenly.
Cloticus(Colt) keeps talking about how much he wants to go the pool because we don't have one in our backyard. Dad keeps telling him it isn't going to happen for another week at least. Dad also keeps telling me that I have to go to relieve some of my back-ne(acne on my back)(I know, eww.) My only problem is I'm afraid I'll stay in the pool too long and get a tan. I know what you're thinking: "What's wrong with her? Why doesn't she want a tan?" Well, it's basically just to say that I almost blend in with my khaki knee-highs. I don't know why that brings me such joy. Probably because it scares the crap out of some of my friends, but hey, I don't care.
But then again, I probably won't get even the slightest tan because the stupid lifeguards at our pool don't let us stay in the pool for more than fifteen minutes. The most bothersome part is once one lifeguard gets off the big chair thingy, he goes and sits with five other able-bodied lifeguards for ten minutes!!! WTF??!! ANNOYING!!!!!
We only have two cans of Mountain Dew left.
I'm glad we were sitting farther away from the road today waiting for Dad to come pick us up at church. Cloticus plugged in his mp3 player and started spastically dancing. I told him after about ten minutes of his awkward moves that if he didn't quit it, there was gonna be a wreck because he was such a distraction. Guess what? It came true...... JKJKJKJKJK!!!!!!! No, but after about twenty minutes of watching him "dance", he sat down with a big sigh and he was breathing heavily. I looked at him and said "What? Did you run out of dance moves?" He laughed.
Cloticus's current song obsession is of the song "Love Games" by Lady GaGa. First of all, what kind of stage name is that?? Seriously?? Lady GaGa? You're special ed-na. Second of all, everything I hear from her is the utmost(haha! I spelled it right!!! Take that!!!) form of perversion. This particular song has the words: "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick." What? EWWW!!!!!
I think what I really want to do next year in orchestra, if all of my cello buddies are still in my orchestra class and don't move to chamber, is to find a cello book for Apocalyptica songs and get Jacob, Arryn(pronounced Erin and yes, she's a girl), Andrew and I to play something from the book. I think that would be awesome. Jacob could play all the crap in fifth and sixth position cuz he's freaky like that and then the others of us could pick our parts. Sadly, I have a feeling Andrew is definitely in chamber and Jacob possibly. Arryn's good, but I'm afraid she's not that good. That might be a plus, cuz then the two of us could be first and second. Yay!!!!
Cloticus has found that the lead singer of Hey Monday is "hot". Ugh. The last thing I need is him crushing on one of the people in one of bands. Actually the last thing I need is him crushing on one of my friends, but OOPS! Too late. Ick. Gag me with a spoon!!! Or preferably with a spork, cuz they're so amazing, they deserve the whole "OMG-ish-is-nism!!!"
Great Green Asparagus Tips!!! It's 8:23 pm and there's still light outside!!!!
I'm really excited about VBS next week. Well, not REALLY excited, but hey, I get out of the house. And I get to work with ONE group of kids. Last year I was in games and I got to see every preschooler in the entire morning session. I barely remembered kids names. So sad. But now I get to have my own group to stick with everyday!!! Yippee! That, and I get to see Colt towards the end. I just hope he's not all clingy. Oh well.
For the past week, I've been wondering if Ashley was even alive. I hadn't gotten a phone call on the fellytone and she hadn't updated her website. So I called her. And guess what? SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!
Wes Moss is ruining Jango!!! Sorry....
I have mastered the art of being able to hold Esmeralda without her running away. I think she needs a bath, though. Her coat looks a little greasy. I'm trying to put it off for as long as possible because she HATES water, even though she sits in my bathroom and waits for me to finish showering. Weirdo.....
Speaking of kittehs..... mine are fascinated with windows. They especially love it when the blinds are pulled up so they can sit in the window. I'm fine with it because I get to watch them freak out when they see birds. HILARIOUS!!!!!
I'm not sure if Mother has informed you guys, but I have started wearing mascara. I think it helps me look not so much like a eyelash-less weirdo. I'm hoping that that's all I'll have to adopt in the makeup department. I really like things to be easy.
I really need to get to the library and start on my summer reading. I have to read at least one because we have some kind of assessment when we get back to school. I'm thinking I'll read Ivanhoe, since we'll be reading the Once and Future King during the school year. I just need to get it and read it. If you guys have read it, I would love it if you could rate it for me. :)
I LOVE WALL-E!!!!!! Mo is hilarious. I think it's more of a slap-stick humor, but I don't know. Eve is cool. I love how she's so shiny and she comes together in one piece without the lines showing. AWESOME!!!!!
Some movies I want to see: New Moon, Monsters Vs. Aliens, UP, Year One, The Next Harry Potter(I can't remember which one we're on now), uhhhhh..... I can't think of any other movies..... DARN!
I can't wait to be confirmed!!!! Then I won't have to deal with filling out volunteering forms ever again! Oh, the joy!!!!!
I think it's interesting that my second toe, next to the big one, is actually longer than my big toe.
I really want a bananaphone. Don't know why. Maybe because it looks like a banana.
When Dad first told me that Mike Tyson bit the dude's ear off, I thought he meant the WHOLE ear. But I didn't even see a piece come off. Just lots and lots of blood.
Coffee is disgusting. A couple weeks ago at the grocery store, the Starbucks inside Kroger was giving away little free samples of Caramel Frappacinos. I decided to take one. I took a little sip and didn't really notice the coffee. I took another sip and went ewww.... So then, I just licked off the whipped cream and threw it away. :) I will reiterate: Coffee is disgusting.
And now it's time for the many nicknames of Esmeralda, my little black cat. Ezzy. Ezzerdoodles. Ezzy-merald-er. Baby Angel. Black Cat. Baby Girl. Darling. Darling Baby Ez. Goober Cat. Sweet Pea. Sweetie Pie. Cutie. ............ the end..........
Don't bother monkeys. They throw poop at you. And they're really loud.
I have a feeling this blog is really long.
Chocolate is amazing.
Did you know that there was a saint that got her breasts torn off with pincers? Yeah. Her name was Saint Agatha. The story basically says(for women) if the men tell you to worship the gods, you worship the gods, or OOPS! No more boobs.
Cats are sneaky.
Dogs are friendly.
Sheldon plays Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock.
Chuck Norris. That's all I need to say.
Is "aunt" pronounced "ant" or "aw-nt"?
Polar bears are slowly going extinct.
Water freezes at zero degrees celcius.
Cuisinart is a funny word to say.

I'm sitting in a wheely-spinny-chair.
Padre has a ponytail.
It's 9:07 pm.
I announce that my bed time is 9:30 tonight.
Madre has a pair of scrubs that have the same picture of SpongeBob that I have on my shirt.
SpongeBob should be the new Guru Pitka. I think he'd get his work done faster. Just cuz his name is SpongeBob.
Patrick was smart once. But then he found the right head cap. That was a cool episode.
Kane is old. And fuzzy.
(For those of you that have seen Open Season:) ............. buhhh-ddy........
Bubbles are amazing. I wish bubbles could power cars. Or be the thing cars spit out.
I wish I had a tail. I'd have better balance, and I could wack unworthy people in the face with it.
Esmeralda keeps trying to play Checkers.
I think it's funny how on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, all the clone troops sound Australian.
I'm thirsty.....
......I now have a soda. :)
....... I now have an OPEN soda..... :)
I think it's funny that I blog on blogger.com, but I read the blog on blogspot.com.
bing.com is worthless.
Dolls are creepy.
Clowns are weird.
Mimes are awesome.

I have to go wash dishes. See you later!!!!
Thanks for reading.

I will soon be a sophomore.
Sophomore is mispronounced. It has an "o" in between "soph" and "more".
Vampires suck. Blood.
Any fight is a food fight when you're a cannibal.
I have to go wash dishes.
That burp tasted weird. Sorry. TMI, I know.
Mr. Weasley collects plugs.
Robert Pattinson has a british accent.
Bullet For My Valentine is from Wales.
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain really exists.
Black Eyed Peas are salty. So are capers.
Abby is the Energizer Bunny of Forensic Science. She never sleeps and she never gives up. Except when her Caf-Pow runs out, her battery starts dying.
According to an ant, libraries are shiny.
Tinted windows are amazing.
I have to go wash dishes. See you later!!!!
Thanks for reading.
High School, Anyone??
The teacher went to the job fair on Tuesday and apparently was a big hit. He interviewed for Katy and Klein ISD. And then, yesterday, he got two calls from Klein Forest for a position on their faculty. The department chair called him @ 5 pm and ended the call with "I'm ready to bring you on board."
Mr.'From the Frying Pan Into the Fire' (his words not mine) decided he needed to go to the school and meet the staff and look at the campus before jumping in. Always a good idea. So he is headed over there today to scope it out.
This morning, in my sleepy fog he asked me what questions he needed to be sure to cover. Bad idea to ask me anything sensible in the morning. Plus I've got this cold crap still going on. In my froggy voice, I replied that I would have to think for a bit.
I told him to be sure to ask about how he would work with the laptop and recording his lesson everyday for access on the Internet by the students. This concept is so high tech I think it is totally overwhelming the hippie. But I sincerely hope that it becomes clearer to him after he sees it and less threatening.
The school is about 15 minutes past my office, we could car-pool. I'm not sure how excited to be about that (tongue in cheek) (eye rolling going on here). My only statement here is men drive differently than women.
And that's all I going to say about that.
Thank you Forrest Gump!
We will keep you posted on the outcome. Stay cool out there and use sunscreen;-)

Late Nights
I tried, really, I did. I went home to get to bed at a decent hour - like 10 pm.
And ended up helping with the teacher resume. I thought that it would have been somewhat prepared in just a really distasteful format. Nope, I got the old underwriter resume and had to piece together the new teacher resume with the help of a template and the teacher. We had to have it for the job fair today. I left him putting packets together to hand out.
My revised bedtime was 11:30.
Understand this - I am not complaining - just commenting in frustration.
So much for trying to get some rest to get over this cold. I did finally make an appointment to see the doctor - first available appointment is Thursday afternoon.
p.s. to the teacher - I love you, honey, and I hope you get the job that will put a bounce into your step and keep your commute short.

Weekend Whirlwind
We did go the the south side of town this weekend and saw John Knolle. I'll post some pictures of him and his wife. They looked really great after all this time. I last cared for him in 1991 and he has the same sweet smile and very talkative nature as always. I had to laugh after we left, both John and Darlene would start talking to me at the same time about two totally different subject and it is really a challenge to continue a conversation with both at the same time!! Thank heavens that Vernon stepped in at one point to rescue me, I think he saw my eyes spinning.
Colt got to participate in the building of the Lego Pirate at Baybrook Mall, as well as Amy and Vernon. They all got a certificate of participation. And a coupon for money off a purchase at the Lego store, yes they all got something there too.
Then lunch at CiCi's - buffet - just Vernon's style.
And then off to Space Center Houston for the new Star War exhibit.
Once we had exhausted ourselves we came home to get the grocery list and do our weekly Krogering at 8PM. Yesterday we just lazed around the house. I got to spend more time trying to install programs on a computer - unsuccessfully - I think I should just not try to install computer stuff anymore. Went to Mass at 5pm and then watched the stupid 10.5 Apocalypse movie - really lame and our logic kept us laughing through the entire movie. My children had to be pried off their computers for bedtime at 10 pm. It is summertime, I let them stay up later since they don't have to be up at the crack of dawn for school.
I'm back at work and the summer has officially started with Vernon at home.

Why am I.....?
Deaf?
Well, the bearded angel in our household that is in desperate need of a hearing aid the doctor won't give him, has to turn the volume up to where there's only about three to six bars left to go up to. Really really sad. And then he wonders why we can't hear him. Gee, I WONDER why!!!!!!
Why am I... blind?
I guess I shouldn't say blind, but more like "vision impaired". Anyway, it's because of Superior Genetics. I lean this more on Dad, though, because he can't go anywhere without his glasses, whereas Mom could probably go a whole day without hers.
Why am I... getting frustrated when we watch something?
Just about ten to fifteen minutes ago is a grand example. We were watching Animal Planet. Dad came in with his lunch and motioned for the clicker, which I gave up in defeat. I knew there was a Sniper show on and that was what we were going to watch. I accepted it with a sigh. Not even five minutes into the show, he's zonked out. "Dad!" I said loudly. He flinched and opened his eyes with a "Huh?" "Watch your show!" "I am." "With your eyes closed." "Yep." Three minutes later, he's asleep again. I give up. I was tempted to change the channel, but I know he'll wake up with something along the lines of "I was watching that!!!". Whatever.
Now, I think I will include Mom.
Why are we... rolling our eyes?
Depends(not the adult diapers). Sometimes it's because we're reading in the "dark", of which Colt is slowly inheriting. Sometimes it's because Dearest Father and Somewhat Dearest Brother are arguing over some of the LAMEST things to argue about. Sometimes it's because Dearest Father answers a question and that answer usually turns into a long explanation of something we ALREADY KNOW!!!! Sometimes it's his dramatic change of mood. Example: One minute he's arguing with Colt*rolls eyes* and the next he's trying to crack a joke. He soon gets frustrated because no one so much as smiles.
Just a random comment: I just spell-checked and I HAVEN'T SPELLED ANYTHING WRONG(....yet....)
Oh, great! Now he's SNORING!!!! UGH!!! There's no help for that man..... I would take a picture and post it with this.... well, POST, but I'm not that technologically inclined.... and I'm lazy.... :)
I think Padre Luna is going through MANopause.... Remember our little episode of Man Periods? Now, it's seems a pretty constant thing. I think he either needs a WEEK in bed or he needs a vacation. Ha! Mom! Maybe he and Kentin Leonard can go to Hawaii together!!! Haha!!!
Oh yippee.... Now I've spelled something wrong..... Apparently "Haha" isn't a word..... oh well.....
LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

ACHOOO
Thursday Morning, AARRRGGGHH, where has the week gone?
It is getting busy at my office with the new doctor. That is good but it is also tiring especially when dealing with crazy doc at the north offices and then being pulled to work at the Katy office. I left that office at 6:52 last night to runover and pick up my two darlings from the church where they were learning Crocodile Dock songs and dance moves.
And *sniffle* *snort* I have a summer cold. No fever just feeling gunky and snotty and sneezy. The red nose is so very a ***SNEEZE - SNEEZE - SNEEZE*** - attractive. Right?
Anyway, we have a Lego weekend planned to go to Baybrook Mall and have Colt help build some display then to Space Center Houston and to stop and see a dear person, John Knolle in Clear Lake, whom I had the privilege to care for many, many years ago.
I still need to get my two **SNEEZE*** kiddos their immunizations for next year and Vernon has to set up his health care appointments - physical, colonoscopy, heart, and of course, he should get to resume donating blood this summer.
Here at work the list never stops. I could stay busy forever. I don't understand how some nurses just ignore the stuff that is supposed to be done, like chart audits, paperwork updates, insurance verifications, and continuing education. I'd much rather be busy than slow, so I can't complain about how busy I am - I love my job!!*sniffle* back to work.

My Last Saturday
Let's see. This last Saturday, we went to Best Buy before visiting Pawpaw to go look at laptops. When we got there, the CDs are right in front of you. We stood there looking at the bestsellers, seeing if there was anything worth getting. I thought about getting the Taylor Swift CD, but didn't. Then it hit me that they HAD to have Bullet For My Valentine. I zoomed around the corner to go look, all the while Dad saying "What? What?!". Sure enough, there were the two CDs that I wanted.....sitting there in all their beauty......
I picked them both up, tucking them into my arm and stood up, proclaiming, "OK, we can go." Dad gave me a questioning look and I showed him the CDs. "Bullet For My Valentine?" he asked. I nodded. "We'll see," he said and we headed off to go look at laptops.
After choosing which laptop Dad wanted, we went to check out. AND HE LET ME GET THE CDS!!!!!! OLIVE JUICE, DAD!!!!
I was so impatient to listen to them. When Dad finally gave them to me Sunday morning, I ran upstairs and started jamming out.
BFMV IS AMAZING!!!!!! I especially love The End, Eye of the Storm, Hearts Burst Into Fire, Forever and Always, Room 409, Say Goodnight, and Take It Out on Me, which I think has the lead singer of Iron Maiden singing. Intro is awesome as well, not only because of the melody, but because Apocalyptica is in it!!!! TOTALLY WICKED!!!!(yes, I'm that lame!)
The other amazing thing that happened Saturday was my visit to the grocery store. Everything went smoothly until Dad started complaining(like a 3 year old, I might add) about how we needed lunch meat for grilled cheese. I told him to go get it and I'd get the ice cream, but NOOO!!!! I had to accompany the 52 year old to go get his lunch meat. *EXTREME EYE ROLL* Anyway!!! We got up to the check-out line and I went down to go help the lady bag. I swear to you, she spoke NO ENGLISH WHATSOEVER!!! She epically failed at bagging, as well. Anyway, I had just gotten to bagging the bottles of Crystal Clear, when I saw him...... He had black hair that sideswiped his face and he had small gauges that didn't make him look like a complete hobo. I was floored.... HE WAS SOOO HOT!!!! That kinda takes a lot for me to say, because I really have this thing that I can't classify guys as hot or not until I see their eyes. I didn't see his eyes at all...... According to his name tag, his name was Adam. I say was because most of the hot guys I see working at Kroger are there once and then I never see them again. I desperately hope that he's there next week. If this hasn't told you how hot I thought he was, this might.
We got out to the car, and I couldn't stop smiling. We got into the car and Dad saw me smiling. "What are you laughing at?" he asked. I just kept smiling. "Why are you laughing at me?" "I'm not laughing. I'm just smiling." "What are you all smiley about?" I giggled. "What?" I took a deep breath. "That guy was REALLY hot!!!"
I don't believe I've ever said that to my Dad before. I've said I like a guy, but not that he's REALLY HOT!!!!
And then, he kinda ruined it. "What? The hippie?" Ugh. "He wasn't hippie Dad. He was emo." Or at least his hair style was.
Another thing, and I was probably just imagining it, anyway. I think Adam was sorta smiling the whole time he was bagging the bottles with me. I think......
I just hope I see him next week. Wish me luck!!!!!
Oh! And, Aunt Mary?!!? I'm wearing that hat you gave me!!! I love it!!!! THANKS!!!
I picked them both up, tucking them into my arm and stood up, proclaiming, "OK, we can go." Dad gave me a questioning look and I showed him the CDs. "Bullet For My Valentine?" he asked. I nodded. "We'll see," he said and we headed off to go look at laptops.

Weepy Eyes - What a Mess!
How embarrassing, I get a gift and I cry. I am watching my Godson get baptized as I struggle to hold back the tears.
Both of these are examples of my poor dysfunctional eyes. I seem to tear up at the even mildly emotional moments of my life. I asked my Mom why and she thinks it is because I am used to giving and not receiving. I suppose there is some truth in that statement. But I have also found that as I get older I treasure the Kodak moments more and I really appreciate the blessed moments of my life.
When I was younger, ie - before I had children, I could watch Steel Magnolias and not cry. But now, I drop my daughter off for her first dress-up dance and tears are running down my face. I hug my mom or sisters and feel my throat closing up. I think of simple but sweet moments and find I could start crying over the beauty of the moment or sadness of a lost opportunity.
I must say I even embarrassed myself with my dear sister-in-law when she called to tell me something and I blubbered like a baby and she ended up soothing me - which only made it worse - instead of me soothing her.
Pretty pitiful overall for a cancer nurse. Maybe it is from all those years of taking care of the dying patient that I realize how brief our lives really are - Huh?
What do you all think??
Here is a picture of the Blessed Moment I participated in today.

Thank you Chuck and Theresa for the honor of being Godmother to your dear son, George.
And then, of course, we have the antidote for weepy eyes. A picture of a smile as interpreted by Luke.

What a Charmer!!

My Summer Schedule
Well, today was really the beginning of my summer. Dad's home now. Tomorrow Mom and Colt are leaving to go to George's baptism, so Dad and I will have the whole weekend to ourselves. I will have to say that when it's just Dad and I one on one, he's not as annoying as he usually seems to be. I think we're going through another bout of the Man Period right now. I'm saying I think, because it's not as bad as it could be.
This summer, I have several "to-do"s, thanks to the parentals. I have to exercise daily, read daily, practice my cello, wash the dishes, vacuum my room twice a week, and a newly found thing: do everything this little book Dad bought about how to get to college says.
Exercising daily is a bit of a challenge for me just because of the fact that I'm lazy. That and Dad usually makes it so that I end up exercising inside. Maybe I'm just weird, but to me, exercising should be done outside, whether that be swimming, tennis, walking. The only exception I can find is weightlifting. For exercise, I really want a for-real bike. Not the purple Bratz one that I've probably outgrown(although, I must say, I love the banana seat). I want a bike that doesn't look like a racing bike, but also not like a kiddy bike. I guess, in theory, I'm looking for a dimmed-down mountain bike. The only problem in buying an "adult" bike is that I've never had a bike that can pedal backwards. My bike I have now, BRAKES by going backwards. It's always been like that. The other thing I want to do is work on my tennis. I'm not very good, I'll be blunt. I can't hit backhand to save my life, although I think I have a good range of where the ball is. I need to learn how to serve across the whole court. I also want to maybe go bowling or ice skating, since, from my experience, those are the only sports where I don't epically fail. Usually, any sport that includes throwing or catching, or hitting something is not for me. Not that I don't give enough effort, I just suck. Again, I'm being blunt(and sorta loving it! haha). I also want to build some muscles in my arms other than from picking up my eight pound cat everyday to take him upstairs for bed(although yesterday, he AND Esmeralda followed me up to bed when I said "bedtime"! Sorry, that's just a big step to me). If I'm going to have to be possibly dealing with some things next year, I want to at least swing a punch that doesn't make the attacker laugh. Being blunt: I'm a wimp like none other.
Now, reading daily is NO big deal at all. The biggest problem I have is that I run out of books before we go back to the store. I think I'll either end up in the library for the first time since fifth grade or I'll learn to immerse myself in the two rows of classics we have. Oh, boy!
I must say that I definitely DO NOT enjoy practicing, but then again, who does? Padre Luna is wanting me to put in at least an hour. One thing I DO need to work on is my vibrato. That should take a while to fix, so it may not be all that bad.
I think I've gotten much better at making sure I get the dishes done every night. I think the main thing that keeps me going is if I don't Mom gets frustrated and seems to give me dirty looks.
The vacuuming will probably be a little slow, but I'm pretty sure if I just DO it, it'll become a routine in no time at all(I hope).
The Doing-Whatever-The-Book-Tells-You-To part of this summer is probably going to be VERY slow, but I'm thinking it should take a good chunk out of my long, lonely days. This job requires me basically profiling myself. After that, I'm to look at colleges that are for the career I'm pursuing and then looking for as many scholarships I can find. I did a little of that today and from what I've found so far, IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG SUMMER!!!! But, we'll see what I discover.
The things I want to do this summer:
1) Hang out with my friends a lot more than I have in the past and be more social.
2) Get out of the house more that doesn't include going down to the pool or the tennis court or to do some other exercise.
3) Volunteer more. Maybe even get a summer job with Ashley or something.
4) Spend more time with Madre besides going to the grocery store on the weekend. Ha! Mom, maybe you could see if you could persuade Dr. Holmes for another set of gift certificates to the spa!!! JK.
5) GET AND STAY ORGANIZED!!!!! I can't tell you how icky I feel when I look around my room or at the homework table. I think maybe Mom's cleanliness genes are kicking in. Oh, boy....
6) Teach my cats some tricks. I want them to be very nice and behaved cats. I'm not as worried about Ezzy as I am Loki. I'm afraid if we ever have company, he'll be all over them.
7) Rearrange my room. I was looking at some of the pictures from when we first bought this house(let me just say, I look like a small hippie), and I saw a picture of my room. The wall with the window in it was completely clean. There was no bed in from of it. I think I want to see that wall. At the same time, I'm kinda scared at what I'll find behind that bed. *cue screeching violins from the horror movie*
8) HELP DAD!!! Therapies expensive though..... No, I really want to help him with getting his office organized. There are papers everywhere and god knows how many empty boxes of varying sizes, empty binders, notebooks, reams and reams of paper(I'm pretty sure we could make a fort with all the useless things in his office!).
9) Get into some new music. I need to venture out. I really want to find some awesome screamo bands. I also want to find some good worship bands. Don't know why....
10) Get better at giving speeches, especially now that I'm going to be very involved with the pre-comfirmation and eighth grade retreat teams.
All and all, I think this summer will somehow end up like the previous three years. But I also have this gut feeling that it will be much, much better. I hope I can make it come true.
Love you!!!

Taking Your Temperature
Did you know.....
some boys take their temperature by looking at "how low they are hanging"?
The hotter the fever the more they 'hang', and "gee, Mom, my temperature is going down, my balls are rising."
Yeah, right, just put the thermometer in your mouth and then tell me what it says when it beeps.

Last Day to be a Freshman
Today was my official last day of 9th grade. I gave a humongous hug to Shleemi that seemed to last forever. We ARE hanging out this summer, whether that be I go to her house or her to mine or we meet somewhere. We WILL hang out!!!!
I gave an awkward(awkward because I was holding my stuff) hug to my good friend John. It was funny cuz that hug lasted forever and then these teachers that were behind us were like, "Hey! Get to class!!!". It almost felt like we were boyfriend and girlfriend!!!! haha!!!
Melissa's Mom drove me home at 9:30 after the 3rd period final and after I grabbed my test from Mrs. Geodken for Dad. She also bought me some hash browns and a chocolate milkshake(which was gone in about ten minutes) from Jack In The Box. She said it was on her, so I don't think we have to pay her back. We went there in the first place for Melissa because she hadn't eaten breakfast yet.
So now, it still hasn't hit me that I'm not gonna see these people(except Shleemi) for three months. But I'm sure that by the time sophomore year starts, I'm going to think summer wasn't long enough. Trust me, I'll think it felt like a week.
On the brighter side, I'll be able to sleep in till eight on a weekday for the first time in forever!!!!! Hopefully, Colt's fever will go away so he can go to school tomorrow. I'll be home to see my MOM go to work instead of the other way around. I'll be home to see DAD go to work. HAHA!!!
So, what do I plan on doing tomorrow? Well, I think I'll have a nice long, hot shower and then shave my legs and make sure I feel all squeaky clean. It's weird that when I was just turning 14, I hated having to shower and now, I can't go more that two days without it!!! I'll probably get on here early so all of you can read it. I'll probably call Shleemi and finish our conversation that we had for five minutes today. I'll see if I can get a hold of my friend, Lucas.
He's my highlight of the day with all the random things he comes up with. I know this probably sounds really weird and disturbing, but I'm going to miss his groping my head. Haha! I'm gonna miss my friends in AAS, particularly John, who's really like my dude partner in crime, and Ambur, my awesome band-devoted friend. And of course, Jacie, my anime-obsessed new friend. That class was lame, but I couldn't have made it through without them. I'm going to miss seeing Ms. O and Mrs. Reid. I'm gonna miss seeing Sarah in Biology. I'm gonna miss Orchestra class like none other. I'm gonna miss seeing those special people in Geometry(Shleemi, you know who). I'm gonna miss Senor *mentally adds the tilde over the n* and his lazy and funny comments that woke me up in the morning. I'm gonna miss Ethan and Tyler talking about how much they benched the other day in Football(SO HOT!!!!!) I'm gonna miss talking guys everyday at lunch with Ashley. I'm gonna miss my Catholic Homegirl, Arryn and our trying to explain everything to Ashley(funny thing: she used to be one of Daddy's students!). I'm gonna miss SHAWN like none other(well, maybe like Shleemi, but who knows!). I'm gonna miss Ginni and her amazing coloring skills! I'll probably miss Spanish class in general, too. I'm gonna miss John Attia's laugh and Nick, Elliot and Danny always bursting out laughing at it. I'm gonna miss the looks Guillermo gives me every time I say, "HI, GUILLERMO!!!!"(his name is pronounced G(as in Gun)-ee-air-mo. It's spanish.)
SoMe oF tHe ThInGs I wOn'T mIsS:
HOMEWORK!!!!!!
Reading books I really don't want to read in a certain amount of time.
Seeing Evil Chick everyday in two classes(Mom, Ashley, you know who).
Carrying my Geometry Textbook every Monday to class.
The weird announcements done by Lindsey Caldwell and Alexa MCLatcher.
Having to pack my lunch everyday.
SoMe oF tHe ThInGs I hAvE tO dO NeXt YeAr:
World History AP
Algebra II K(let me remind you: it's a Junior class!)
Chemistry K(another Junior class!)
BCIS(which I hear is really easy)
English II K
Orchestra II(ROCK ON!!!!)
Health Block I
I'm excited about next year and waiting for the whole THREE MONTHS OF NOT SEEING PEOPLE to sink in.
If you've listened to all the music I talk about on here, you'll maybe be surprised to hear about this person. "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift is an amazing song and now that I've heard that one, I want her new CD. Right after Rock music comes Country music and the rest follows suit after that.
Hope you guys have an amazing day! LOVE YOU!!!

My Wishes
I know that some of this may sound corny, but I'm a teenager and you're gonna have to get over it. These wishes are in no particular order.
My first wish is to find someone amazing that only sees me for me. They never try to "fix" or pressure me into doing something I don't wanna do. And I hope that I'm the same to them.
My second wish is to graduate high school in the top ten percent and get accepted in Texas A&M for veterinary school(I could care less about the football team). I also want to graduate from college with a good GPA(?).
My third wish is to become a successful veterinarian and to love what I do. I know too well what it's like to be in a job you hate(Olive juice, Daddy).
My fourth wish is to still be playing cello and loving every minute of it. Hopefully Shleemi will still be playing and we can get gigs together.
My fifth wish is to attend some of my favorite band's concerts and have the time of my life.
My sixth wish is to one day travel to some of my favorite places in the world.
My seventh wish is to build a magnificent yet simple house somewhere secluded from society and noise. I hope that I then die peacefully in that house.
My eighth wish is for my parents to grow old enough to see me graduate and possibly get married. Pretty much after that, they can keel over and I feel I can handle that(Not trying to sound rude at all, I swear).
My ninth wish is to somehow affect someone's life for the better, whether that be that they find God or otherwise.
My tenth wish is to successfully have one child, maybe two. Successfully meaning without horrible complications.
My eleventh wish is for my friends to lead happy lives and find everything they want in life.
My twelfth wish is for Daddy to find a job that makes him happy and keeps him happy. I know that being Vernon Burnham means to always find something wrong with everything, but I hope for the most part it makes him happy.
My thirteenth wish is to get even closer to God and to keep that relationship strong. There's a video on Godtube.com that always gets me. Don't know why. I think if you type in Everything by Lifehouse, there should be a video that says something about a skit at a conference somewhere to that song. Watch it.
I think that just about covers it.
Love you guys!

Finals Week
This is the last week of school. And I must admit a bit of anxiety about the 9th grader.
Amy reports that she does not have to attend school on Wednesday as she is exempting out of her finals for that day. Exempting due to passing the TAKS in English and Math and by choice in World Geography. But I'm not really sure I believe the ability to pass over THREE final exams.
Today, she is taking her Spanish and Biology Exams and tomorrow is the AAS (i have no idea what AAS stands for - Amy?). Wednesday would have been English.
I think I am going to have to call the school to soothe my frazzled mind and reassure myself she is correct. Sorry about that, Amy.
You will all be pleased to know that the Mountain Dew is not a normal item in my house. She was a bit over the edge with the Dew.
On a sad note in our house......
Rafael Nadal lost in the third round at the French Open. Really, it was s big deal to the Tennis fans.
On a bright note......
The Red Wings won the second game in the Stanley Cup Finals and are leading the series 2-0 over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Go Red Wings!!!
